Michael Katundu

Mr. Michael Katundu is currently the head of Information technology (IT), at the Communications Regulatory Authority of Kenya, Communications Commission of Kenya (CCK). His key responsibilities include facilitation of industry ICT initiatives in Kenya.

Mr. Katundu is a holder of a Masters of Science degree (M.Sc.) in Information technology (IT) and a Bachelor’s in Science degree (B.Sc.) in Information Technology (IT).

Among other industry ICT achievements, Mr. Katundu, on behalf of the Communications Commission of Kenya (CCK), successfully coordinated the re-delegation process of the dot ke Country Code Top-Level Domain, which was finalized in late 2002. Mr. Katundu is a member of the board of directors for the Kenya Network Information Centre (KENIC), the designated dot ke management entity in Kenya.

In addition, Mr. Katundu is involved in the WSIS process, at the national, regional and the international level.
